DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

The American College of Law has been approved to confer degrees by the California Bureau For Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education.

JURIS DOCTOR (J.D.)

The Juris Doctor degree is conferred upon students who have previously received a minimum of 60 Units of College Work, and have completed at least 86 units as a law student as prescribed by the college. If a student is a transferring student from another law school he/she will have to complete at least 18 units of their study at American College of Law.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

A student enrolled at the American College of Law will not graduate until he/she has completed all courses required for his/her graduation and has received an overall grade point average of 70% or higher in their 86 units of law study. Students who attempt to take the California General Bar Examinations without having graduated previously from the American College of Law will generally be denied the right to qualify for a degree. In no event may a student extend his law study for more than SIX years.
